Special Bikes we build For Sale

We pride ourselves on decades of personal experience preceded by generations (two) of experience conceiving, engineering, constructing, and winning in motor sports at the professional level. We've won more individual competitions than should be mentioned. Major championships include two Indy 500 victories, 3 National Championships (Indy cars), SCCA regional title, 3 WSMC Road Racing Championships, and numerous Best of Show competition awards.

Our Patent 7,341,308 saddles and other cycling products in development are an outgrowth of an all consuming desire to ride the wheels off of our bikes. To that end we are please to offer the occasional specially built bike for sale. We also provide bike building and selection services on a fee for service to those willing to pay for the time required. Your bike and associated kit are likely to represent a significant investment. You may want objective advise from a qualified soul other than the local bike shop salesperson.

Decals on this frame are all original and are intact. Age successfully caused some cracks in the decals. I’ve been in contact with Condor and confirmed they can’t supply new decals so a protective clear lacquer coating was sprayed on top of the decals to protect them and prevent further cracks or damage during routine cleaning.

Condor Company History:

Since 1948 Condor Cycles have been producing racing, touring, commuting, mountain, and hybrid bikes for customers all over the world. As well as our many regular customers in the London area we regularly export to other countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Iceland, U.S.A., and beyond.

Condor bikes have ridden the Tour De France and have gained many medals in National and World Championships, Olympic, and Commonwealth Games. We have gained over 30 wins so far this year.

Condor Cycles are renowned for their individual bespoke bicycles—individually designed and made for each individual customer.

Monty Young opening Condor's first shop in no. 90 Grays Inn Road back in 1948 pictured at right.

Monty successfully built a reputation second to none. He spent many years helping teams and running neutral service vehicles in races like the Milk Race and Peace Race. He successfully always sponsored talented riders and firmly believes in helping the grass roots of our sport. Many riders who have started out on Condor bikes supplied by Monty have gone on to greater things including World and Olympic Champions.

In the 70's the shop was expanded and moved to no.144 Grays Inn road. It was here that Monty was one of the first to use Shimano components on top end road bikes and helped to promote the Shimano name before the invention of the mountain bike.

In the 80's the Percy Bilton-Condor professional race team were at the top of there game as the best pro team in the U.K. lead by class riders Bob Downs and Glen Mitchell.
